“In a complete and successful work there are hidden masses of implications, a veritable world which reveals itself to those whom it may concern – which means: to those who deserve it.”

— Le Corbusier, A New World of Space, 1948

I ran across this quote during a long process of trying to define what it was that interested me in creating an Architecture studio. While a bit of an intuitive designer, there has always been a process of exploration I go through to achieve any level of satisfaction in a project. That design process is what I find the most rewarding aspect of being an Architect. It is the desire to define and hone that process which led to A3design.

The launch of this website is an attempt to utilize an interactive tool to share the process A3design uses in the delivery of our projects. While I think the imagery here will tell you a lot about how we approach our work, I intend this website to be a manner in which I clearly define my ideas and most excitingly, get feedback. I have a lot to say. Here I’ll try to limit it to Architecture and to keep my opinions constructive. Hopefully the comments will be as well, but hey, I’m the one asking, so have at it. I’m sure there will be times I defend our work, and times I concede to criticisms. The goal is to become a more satisfied Architect with a growing list of complete and successful works.

Welcome to A3design.

    Dave:
The site looks good – your images are quite compelling. Recently visited Landmark…meshes well with adjacent residential area while blending subtle Modern sophistication.

I recently finished historic preservation project in downtown Muncie: the Patterson Block – moving Ivy Tech into 25,000sf / 3stories.

    keep up the great work.
